IT for Not-for-Profits

Reliable IT for staff, volunteers, programmes and community services.

Not-for-profits need to support a mix of employees, volunteers, board members, shared resources and cloud systems, while keeping technology spend under control. We help build a manageable setup with clear access, sensible security and less day-to-day IT friction.

What we manage around your mission

People

People & access environment

User accounts, joiners and leavers, MFA, shared mailboxes, group access and practical processes for changing teams and volunteers.

Cloud

Cloud collaboration environment

Email, file sharing, Teams/Meet, SharePoint/Drive, permissions and administration around the collaboration platform your organisation uses.

Devices

Device environment

Device setup, replacement planning, printers and shared computers or tablets used by staff, volunteers and programme teams.

Infrastructure

Network & Wi‑Fi

Internet, switching, staff Wi‑Fi, guest Wi‑Fi, firewalling and reliable connectivity for offices, centres and shared spaces.

Protection

Security & backup

MFA, device protection, email security, secure sharing, backup and recovery planning without adding unnecessary complexity.

Planning

Budget-aware IT roadmap

Prioritise the highest-risk or highest-impact problems first, plan replacements and avoid spending on technology the organisation does not need.

IT problems that turn up again and again

Access

Old staff or volunteer accounts still work

Access that should have ended months ago, still sitting there.

File chaos

Files scattered across personal drives and inboxes

Nobody meant for it to end up this way. It just did, gradually.

Devices

Everyone's on a different device, in a different place

Consistency is hard when the team is this varied.

Connectivity

Wi‑Fi or internet unreliable in community spaces

Especially inconvenient when it's the space you rely on most.

Technology debt

Decisions have piled up without an overall plan

Each one made sense at the time. Together, they don't quite fit.

Security

Real protection, without enterprise-level cost

Security that fits a not-for-profit budget, not a bank's.

Eligibility, pricing and features for nonprofit programmes are controlled by the relevant suppliers and can change. We help with the surrounding IT environment and administration, while platform-specific eligibility or support stays with the supplier.

Privacy, donor data & access governance

Not-for-profits often hold donor information, member records, client data, grant documents and other sensitive information, while relying on volunteers, contractors and rotating staff. Managing accounts and permissions properly matters.

People

People & access environment

User accounts, joiners and leavers, MFA, shared mailboxes, group access and practical processes for changing teams and volunteers.

Information

Cloud & file security

Secure sharing, device protection, device encryption where appropriate and sensible separation of public, staff and sensitive data.

Continuity

Backup & recovery

Practical backup, internet resilience and recovery planning scaled to the organisation’s risk and budget.

Privacy Act and Notifiable Data Breach obligations may apply depending on your organisation and the information you handle. We put technical controls in place to support your requirements. We don't provide legal compliance certification.

Frequently asked questions

Can you help us use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace more effectively?

Accounts, permissions, security, shared files, email and admin, for whichever platform you're on, plus a look at where your current setup might be creating unnecessary risk or confusion.

Can you work with a limited technology budget?

That's the normal reality for most of our not-for-profit clients. We fix the most important reliability and security risks first, reuse equipment where it still makes sense, and plan replacements ahead of time rather than treating everything as an emergency.

Can you support staff and volunteers with different access needs?

Accounts, groups, shared resources and device access, set up so permissions match each person's actual role, and removed cleanly the day they leave.

Need a practical IT plan rather than another technology wish list?

Tell us how your staff and volunteers work, which cloud systems you use, and where the recurring problems are.
