Backup & Recovery

A backup is only useful when you know how you will restore from it.

We help businesses set up backup and recovery around the systems your business depends on, not just a green tick saying "backup completed."

What we take care of

A backup is only useful if it works when you need it:

Backup planning

A backup plan with no gaps in it

Onsite and offsite backup planning for servers, computers and Microsoft 365, so nothing important is left unprotected.

Recovery

Recovering an accidentally deleted file, or worse

From one missing file to a full server failure, we design how you'd get data back before you need to find out the hard way.

Verification

Backups that are checked, not just running

A green tick doesn't mean much on its own. We monitor and review backups so you know they'd hold up.

Ransomware

A plan for if ransomware hits

Ransomware recovery planning that goes beyond hoping it won't happen to you, so there's a real path back if it does.

Continuity

Staying open even after a major outage

Business continuity planning that covers more than data, so a bad day doesn't turn into a bad month.

Proof

Proof your restore holds up

We test restores properly, because a backup you've never restored is a guess, not a plan. The first time you find out if it works shouldn't be the day you need it.

Our approach

We start by asking what would really happen if a server died tomorrow, then work backwards from there. A backup plan is only as good as the recovery it enables, so that's where we focus.

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide cloud and onsite backup options?

Both, and the right mix comes down to your data, your systems, and how fast you'd actually need to recover.

Is backup the same as disaster recovery?

Not quite. A backup is a copy of your data. Disaster recovery is the bigger plan, how you get systems, access and operations running again after something's gone properly wrong.

Can you check whether our backups are actually working?

We can, and it's worth checking. A backup job reporting "completed" tells you almost nothing on its own. We look at monitoring, retention, whether a restore genuinely works, and who's responsible for keeping an eye on it.
